watching the video of growth mindset opened me up. The whole time i kept struggling with windows command prompt. i had this mentality that it was not as easy as Linux terminal. however, i was so eager to try is. This morning i woke up enthusiastic about learning windows command prompt.

There was that part of me that was so static and submissiveness was not part of it. i quickly connect my laptop to power that sit down and start to learn. this was not easy. you know how we navigate across file in linux, “cd, ls, rmdir”. then here i was trying to change from local disk to desktop. i quickly type “cd desktop” then the terminal alerts “command not found” i drop my head on the desk

suddenly it clicks my mind. “Girl this is not a UNIX operating system. get up and type dir desktop” i quickly type that then click enter. it opens my desktop and i smile sheepishly. Again and again i made the mistake of using Linux commands. Frustrated i change to git bash that is UNIX based. then it crossed my mind. “you are just blocking it. yeah simply because you are good on the other side you just don’t want to learn. it just that you have a fixed mindset. that you ain’t good at windows command prompt. you can do this if you want to.”

i reopen the windows terminal and started again. i might have made a million mistakes but by the end of it all… here i was using it more efficiently. Growth mindsets helps us to all ideas and learn.
